The College of Business at Utah Tech is an accredited business program. We give students the material experience they need to not just arrive but succeed at the next level. We provide the full spectrum of business education with degrees in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Hotel & Resort Management, and Information Systems & Analytics. We emphasize curriculum that is relevant, tangible, and significant. We build students that are resourceful and know how to make things happen. Students graduating from our programs have gone on to successful careers from entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

Accounting

The top priority of the UT Accounting Department is to facilitate the development of value-added accounting graduates; graduates who, immediately upon employment, excel at all of the following:
Generating bank reconciliations,
Creating and analyzing financial statements, Producing individual and entity tax returns and professional quality tax research memos, Completing staff-level audit tasks, Interacting comfortably with practitioners and clients

The B.S. in Finance is an application-based degree with the objective to prepare students to pursue a career in corporate finance, personal-financial planning, banking, or research. The program integrates theory with the acquisition of critical thinking, analysis, and technical skills sought by employers. Students learn about financial markets, institutions, and securities.

Students learn various aspects of Hospitality Management and gain career-ready skills through rigorous coursework and practical experience. Students will gain hands-on experience with local partners, specializing in Tourism and Hospitality or Event Planning and Management.
