WELCOME TO THE College of Humanities and Social Sciences AT Utah Tech University!

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is the home of the liberal arts at UT. Our programs prepare students for 21st century jobs by focusing on the skills that employers prioritize, including effective oral and written communication, critical thinking, collaborative teamwork, and sophisticated analytical skills. We engage our students in a transformative education of discovery, creativity and reflection.

Applied Sociology

The Applied Sociology program gives students a solid understanding of the culture and structure of human interaction. They will actively apply this knowledge in real life research settings.

Communication Studies

The study of Communication explores how people use messages to generate meanings within and across various contexts, cultures, and channels. Our Communication Studies degree allows students to master multiple facets of communication: face-to-face and mediated interactions between people, among groups and among organizations. Join us in the pursuit to understand how human interactions affect the world we live in today!
