Josh Din
Josh Din is a tax partner with Baker Tilly and leads the Tax Evolution and Automation practice. He specializes in
implementing leading-edge tax technology solutions and practical strategies on tax function best practices by optimizing data,
process, technology and people.
With more than 17 years providing tax services and driving transformation through market-leading tax technology capabilities, Mr. Din has extensive experience in leading
and advising on enterprise-wide tax transformation efforts for Fortune 500 multinationals. His areas of expertise and focus include implementing self-service data automation tools and analytics (Alteryx, Microsoft Power Query, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.), robotics process automation, third-party tax provision software and workflow (ONESOURCE, Corptax, Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud – TRC, etc.), and tax data management and platform design (ERP data optimization for tax).
Mr. Din also advises clients on tax function operational strategy, technology roadmap development, and global operating model design and structure including business process outsourcing, co-sourcing and shared service center design. In addition, he has extensive experience in working with multinational corporations providing income tax accounting process services to clients in various industries. His tax technical expertise and knowledge of leading software technologies, coupled with his creativity and experience working with large and complex multinational tax departments, allows him to provide a unique perspective on tax function best practices and solutions to his clients.
Mr. Din has experience in all aspects of ASC740 reporting including quarterly and annual SEC/US GAAP Rules and Regulations. He is expert in forecasting global effective tax rates and management of GAAP and Non-GAAP EPS impacts and in tax reporting design and Implementation, including system implementations and technology-enabled solutions with improved control managed processes that optimize the aggregation and enrichment of data to facilitate tax calculations and analytics.
Mr. Din earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University, Hawaii and a master’s degree in business taxation from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.
