Dr. Kristy Grayson is a dedicated educator, researcher, and practitioner with a passion for helping students discover their love for marketing. She holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Creighton University, an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas, and a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Minnesota. Her teaching areas include digital marketing, marketing research, entrepreneurial marketing, and internships.
Dr. Grayson’s research centers on brand love, innovative teaching practices, and the economic impact of tourism and entrepreneurship on communities. She is an active scholarly academic with peer-reviewed publications and national conference presentations. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Jesuit Business Education, Mountain Plains Journal of Business and Technology, and the proceedings of the Association of Marketing Theory and Practice.
With over 25 years of industry experience, Dr. Grayson most recently served as Consumer Marketing Leader at Honeywell International’s residential division, where she led the development and launch of the company’s first consumer eCommerce channel. She brings this deep industry knowledge into the classroom to prepare students for real-world marketing challenges.
She is also an entrepreneur, co-owner of TOAST OG with her son, and consults through Grayson Consulting, LLC. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
