Shawn Woods, CFA

Shawn is the Director of Public Investment Research at Soltis Investment Advisors, where he oversees the firm’s screening, due diligence, and monitoring of public investments. He has developed proprietary tools to enhance the firm’s investment management process and empower the team’s Asset Class Leads. Shawn also serves as a portfolio manager for several investment portfolios, including the Soltis Equity Income Stock portfolio, Soltis Core Equity & Bond portfolios, Soltis Hedged Equity portfolio, and SIA Risk-based Institutional CIT models. He is a key member of the firm’s Investment Committee and Asset Allocation Committee. Shawn has been a valuable member of Soltis since joining the team in January
2013.

Shawn holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder, where his studies focused on investment management, corporate finance, and entrepreneurial finance. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Weber State University, where he also played quarterback for the Wildcats. Additionally, Shawn is a Chartered Financial Analyst®. Shawn currently serves on the Utah Tech Business
School Advisory Board.

In his personal life, Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife, AnnaMarie, and their seven children. He has a passion for traveling and experiencing different cultures, as well as fitness, fly-fishing, coaching his children’s sports teams, and playing a variety of sports.
